Autumn vaccination round 2026

A new round of COVID-19 vaccinations will start in the fall of 2026. Based on advice from the Health Council, the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport (VWS) has decided that the following groups will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine:

• people aged 70 and older;
• people aged 50 to 69 with one or more medical conditions who have a bigger risk of becoming seriously ill with COVID-19;
• adults and children from high-risk medical groups (for example, people with a severe immune disorder and nursing home residents);
• healthcare workers who have direct contact with vulnerable patients, in order to protect these patients.
