I got a letter calling me up for a coronavirus vaccination. Is that possible?

Yes, that is possible. If you were born in 1965 or earlier, you will receive a letter from the RIVM this autumn, inviting you to for a coronavirus vaccination.

If you have made an appointment for a coronavirus vaccination yourself, you will receive an email from the GGD confirming your appointment. You will also receive a text message reminding you of your appointment.

Were you born in 1966 or later? And have you received a letter even though you did not make an appointment yourself? Then something is not right – the letter is not from the GGD. The same applies to any emails or text messages you receive in this situation.

Please note: The coronavirus vaccination at the GGD is always free. You do not have to pay. If an email or text message says you need to pay or asks you to click on a bank website, do not click on anything and delete the message immediately. This email or text message is definitely not from the GGD – it is from someone trying to steal your money. Are you unsure or do you want to report this? Call 0800 7070. You can report it there and ask your questions
