I am not able to make an appointment online. What should I do?

Are you not able to make an appointment online? There can be a few different reasons for this. See what you can do in each situation:

Do you have a technical issue?
Can you not make an appointment because of a technical issue? See below to find out what you can do.

Check your internet browser
Make sure you have installed the latest version of your internet browser. You can get onto ggdafspraak.nl or planjeprik.nl with any internet browser. For example Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Try on your computer or tablet
Are you not able to make an appointment via your phone? Then try on your computer or tablet.

Reload the page
Does it still not work? Then try to reload the page. You can read below how to do it on your computer. 

  • Do you have a Windows computer? Press CTRL – F5.  
  • Do you have an Apple computer? Then press Command – Shift – R. 

Does that not work either? Then open a new incognito tab in your browser. Try it in that tab.

Empty the cache and delete cookies
 Do none of the fixes above work? Then empty the cache on your computer. And delete the cookies. That will make sure your browser loads the newest versions of websites and programs. This could fix the problem.

Are you getting an error 1020 message?
 Do you see an error 1020 message? That means the ggdafspraak.nl or planjeprik.nl website thinks that you are outside Europe. You can only access these websites from Europe. We do this to make the websites as safe as possible.

Are you in Europe but you are still getting an error 1020 message?
 Are you in Europe? Then your computer or network may be connected to a VPN provider. We also block some VPN providers. This helps to make the websites as safe as possible.

Are you using a VPN and are you unable to make an appointment online? This is what you can do:

  • Turn off your VPN.
  • Can you not turn off your VPN? Then connect to a different network that is not connected to a VPN. For example your 4G network via your smartphone.
  • Go somewhere else that has internet without VPN.

Has an appointment already have been planned for you? Then you can’t make a new appointment now. An appointment may have been made in one of the following ways:

  • Maybe the GGD made the appointment for you. In that case you will get a letter about it from the RIVM. You can also see, move or cancel this appointment yourself now. What if you move the appointment? Or cancel the appointment? Then you will still get the letter from the RIVM about the old appointment. You do not have to do anything with the letter.
  • Or maybe you made the appointment yourself earlier. You may have done that on this website or by calling the GGD.

Do you want to see, move or cancel your vaccination appointment? Then go to planjeprik.nl/afspraak.

Then you cannot make an appointment. You can see here if you can get a coronavirus vaccination this autumn.

Does it say online that there are no vaccination centres available? This is because the vaccination centres near you are full. This year, we are operating at several temporary locations that may have limited opening hours or close earlier. There is always a location open in your region, but you might need to travel a bit further. Please note: you can get your coronavirus vaccination up to and including 6 December 2024.
